Hi H,
Your hinge pillar pictures reminded me of the folks who report that in looking over a car they're considering buying ask the owner if he'll remove the kick panels so they can see the condition of the pillars and #2 mounts…. he say's "sure", you can do it AFTER you've bought it!!!!
Full disclosure!
Regards,
Alan

I just want to brag about how good the A/C works in this car.....
The A/C in my 72 small block Coupe works great!! I changed to R134A changed the A6 compressor to an aluminium Pro6ten compressor and upgraded to the C4 blower motor and the longer fan. and upgraded and added bigger ground wires to the blower motor.and added 2 heater core/hose shutoff valves
I am VERY happy with the performance of my FACTORY STYLE A/C SYSTEM with the minimum upgrades I made

Since this is one of a few areas on a corvette that ..if full of rust... can be VERY EXPENSIVE to repair and sometimes a deal breaker for someone buying a corvette I figured I would show the condition of my windshield frame as I found it during my restoration since it was in very good condition with only one little rust spot. I also show how I cleaned it up and treated the metal with a product to prevent any future rust from forming in the future.
Here's the frame after being cleaned up with a wire wheel....
and after being treated with a rust enhibitor.....
and here is the repaired area on the primed frame.....
and here is the painted frame with the hardware and stainless trim being instaled...
and the new date coded windshield being installed .....

Pictures continue to show a solid car!

IF it's all right with you I'd like to save a couple of the those windshield header pictures.
Very good views of the ss trim clips! Thanks!
