C3 1968 convertible Ls3 pro touring
Hi im gonna sell my -68 convertible. I bought it from an oldlady in Garden Groove CA in 2011 she blew a radiator hose on the freeway andparked the car in the early -80s. It was a 327 4 speed car.
I plan was to build a pro touring car. I bought a built Ls3in 2011 the engine was only 3 years old then, it has a cam stand alone harness.Made 470hp on the tires in another car on the dyno tuned by Synergy.
Transmission is 5 brand new 5 speed from Hurst drivelines isthe Elite Kit with the corvette side shifter to place the shifter in the stockposition. I have more then 10k in the drive line 6k Ls3 engine and 4,5k in the transmissionkit it came complete with drive shaft.
I took the car to JD corvette in Bellflower and did a fullbody restoration all the gaps are perfect. Body is in primer ready to beblocked. I spent 11k on the body work Ihave receipts for everything.
I bought chassie parts from Van Steel for 11k,
Chrome moly a arms, with coil overs, big sway bar front, borgeson steering box, wildwood 6 piston calipers. The rear have trailing armswith more offset to fit a 10” rim Wilwood 4 piston calipes, sway bar.
Beefed up rear axle with 30 splines inner axles, 3.55 posi, newhalf shafts , everything Is brand new.
I took the body off the frame, sand blast frame and powdercoat, zero rust issues on the frame,
Everything on the chassie is brand new, only things I reusedwas the wheel bearing hubs and caliper brackets front everything else is new.
All the body mounts have been replaced and shimmed.
New Dewitt Corvette LS aluminum radiator with fans 970usd.
I have more then 36k just in parts, have receipts foreverything.
Left to do is prep for paint replace interior maybe add a acsystem and new rims and tires. Clean CA Title in my name
Will sell car with all parts for 32k a lot of money for a project but you cant build the same car for less money and when its done its a high dollar car will bring good money on an auction or a lot of smiles on the road.

The hardest pill to swallow is that the sum of all costs associated with a corvette will never equate to it's value. Good luck with the sale. Hopefully there is a buyer who can continue your vision.
