My first car I purchased was 68 Ford Custom with a 302 V8 3pd auto. Good luck with your trade although there are not too many Ford fans here.

Yes, pretty sure the "police interceptor" intake manifold was part of that package. Thats a very heavy Intake as I think the PI intake was also cast iron and not aluminum. Many years ago I knew those FE engines like the back of my hand.

Nice Car!

I've gotten mixed info on the Intake, a FE guy said threr was no intakes stamped 427 Police Only. He thought it was an FE F-427 Edelbrock Aluminum Intake and that logos look like they were removed.
And it should be cast iron for a 63 PI.
There is not a ton of information on the Police Interceptor Engines.

He also said he thought the block was correct, but because
it was a late build, July 63 that it got a 64 block.

The Block has the Cross Bolt Bosses, but no bolts. I had someone say the code for the block was a 427, this was from another FE guy, but another said it was not. Previous Owner said engine was original 390 PI.

Transmission is not original, it a 64 Toploader 4 Speed.

The Police Interceptor (P-Code) 390's are pretty rare. Car has the original Spotlight Mirror, original color was 2-tone, Gold Body, White Painted top and Interior was Gold.

My first car was a 1963 1/2 with the 406 tri-power engine, 4 speed and 4:88 gears. Paid $750 for it in 1969. Wish I still had it along with the 1964 fuelie Vette I sold in 1976 for $3800.
