Default FS: 1977 L-48 coupe. Auto.

Howdy y'all.

The time has come for me to sell my beloved 1977 Corvette. This car runs like a top. I really do hate to see it go, but I think the time is right. The color is GM's White Diamond Tricoat and turns a lot of heads. The interior is two-tone red/white and is in great condition. The odometer shows a little north of 59k miles. However, the odometer stopped rolling after I bought the car. Since then, I have only driven it to local car shows and cruises around town. According to the VIN number, this car should have had the blue engine. But sometime during its life, it has been painted orange.

The car is located with me in Kentucky.

Vin: 1Z37L7S442654

Options:
  • A31 Power Windows
  • B32 Color keyed Floor Mats
  • C49 Rear Window Defogger
  • C60 Air Conditioning
  • D35 Sport Mirrors
  • K30 Cruise Control (not functioning)
  • M40 Turbo Hydra-Matic Auto. Trans.
  • N37 Tilt-Telescope Steering Column
  • V54 Luggage/Roof Panel Rack
  • YJ8 Aluminum Wheels
  • ZX2 Convenience Group

Pros:
  • ~63k miles
  • All gauges in working order, except for that pesky clock which won't keep time
  • Fully functioning heat and air
  • All interior lights in working order, including back lights for gauges
  • New headlights - I've driven at night many times with no issue
  • Rebuilt carburetor
  • New alternator
  • Fresh oil and transmission fluid change
  • Small cam installed by previous owner... sounds GREAT!
  • Less than 2,000 miles on tires
  • New Brake calipers and pads less than 2,000 miles ago
  • Car cover shown will be included with the vehicle
  • Battery cutoff switch to help avoid draining when sitting for long periods.
  • Owner's manual reprint included

Cons:
  • Cruise control not functioning
  • Original headlight vacuum system works slowly and sometimes needs manual help
  • The paint could use some TLC but is in good condition overall
  • Missing rear "Corvette" emblem
  • Missing one chrome ring around a taillight

Asking $10,000.

Feel free to ask questions below!

The seats are original, but have been reupholstered. I do not believe wood grain was available that year, so I do not believe it is original.

Thanks! It was on there from the previous owner and I liked it, so I kept it. It gets a lot of positive comments.

Thank you! I have it listed all over the place. I love this car, but my C6 bone is itching haha.

After 14 years of ownership I've sold my '77 L48 to a fellow CF member in the NE. No itchy bones for me - the presence of 4600 lbs of Lansing steel complete with 9' rear fenders is a reality in my garage.

Make me an offer on this car! I would love to see it go to a CF member who I know will love it as much as I have. Don't be afraid to tell me if my price isn't reasonable, either. I know this forum is a wealth of knowledge.

Looks like an awesome car. Your price point is about right too.

Monday morning bump!

Also, I updated my original post with some options from that year. Winter is just about over. It's time to put yourself in this car!

This car is ready to roll! Starts without hesitation and will cruise as long as you want to.

Bump for the weekend!

I have this car listed a few other places. I would love to see it go to a forum member who I know will take special care of it.

Not sure if you want to make the trip but AutoFair is the 2nd weekend in April at Charlotte Motor Speedway. AACA holds an auction on Thursday and Friday and sellers generally do well there.

Unfortunately, that would be a long trip for my schedule. Haven't earned any vacation at this job just yet. I have received a couple of emails and one local contact, so interest in the car is rising. Hopefully this car will go to a loving home soon!
