79-82 Black C3
Hello corvetteforum!
I am new to the corvette world and I am looking to purchase a black 79-82 c3. I am not looking for a show quality car, but a car that runs and that I can drive a couple of times a week. The interior could be a little ratty, as long as everything is basically original, and the paint could have a few dings in it.
Depending on the condition of the car, I would like to stick around the $8k USD or less mark. Like I said, not a show car, and I don't mind having to put some elbow grease in.
My main concerns:
1. I'm looking for a decent condition frame and birdcage - surface rust & some scaling/pitting spots are OK.
- As long as the car is structurally sound and the body mounts don't need to be replaced.
2. The car paint/interior must be matching the factory trim tag
- I don't care if the paint has swirls, dings, or scratches. I just want to make sure that the car wasn't repainted black from a different original color.
- The seats could have big tears/rips in them
- The carpet could have holes/big stains on it
- The console/dash could be cracked, blistered, and/or bubbling.
3. The engine must be numbers matching.
- I don't care if it is an l48/l82 or manual/automatic.
- The motor could have 80k on it, as long as it's original and at least runs.
4. The paint has to be black.
- Like I said above, the paint could be loaded with imperfections, as long as it looks decent from 10-15'
Preferences (Not musts):
1. Spoilers (front/rear)
2. Inspected (so I could actually drive it home if close enough!)
I am located in the northeastern Pennsylvania region and would be willing to drive 100-200 miles for the car, otherwise, I would need help shipping it to me.
Thank you very much for your time. Hopefully there's a "gem" out there somewhere for me

I updated my initial post to give a bit better of a description of what I am looking for. Hopefully it aligns more with my price range?
Thanks!
Brandon

Thanks for the confidence . Since I live in NEPA, I can always drive down to Carlisle on 8/24 to see what they have there. I'm just hoping that maybe a fellow CorvetteForum member may have a good lead on something prior to that haha.
