Where's My Dad's Vette???
My dad passed away and left me his 1977 Corvette in his Will. Unfortunately my sister had the courts take it. I'd love to try and locate it.
Black
automatic
1977
Grey interior
T tops
luggage rack
Beautiful engine
my father took my mother on their first date in this car, when my mother went into labor with me he took her to the hospital in this car and my father was a known around town as "the man with the Corvette."

Even if it's not for sale I'd love to see it again.

Do you have the VIN for the car?

Agree. If you have the VIN you can find it.
You have a couple of options:
-Easiest way is to try and find an old registration or old insurance papers. The VIN would be listed on any declaration pages from the insurance agency.
-Check the documents of his will. If the will was professionally drawn up by an attorney, it should say in good detail what exact vehicle was to be left to you. The VIN should be there.
-How long ago did your dad pass away? Here in Michigan, you can do a title search for the past 5 years. So check with your local DMV.
-Check with the courts. They are not going to take possession of a vehicle they can't identify. Any paperwork related to the car should contain the VIN.
Hope this helps.

Guessing sister sold it, pocketed the cash and said "the courts took it" for whatever reason. I'm surprised if it was in the will that they could do that.
People do crazy stuff for money when people die. Lie, cheat, steal, come out of nowhere looking for handouts, etc..
