1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector's Edition

I bought this now 79,600 mile original for myself, because I always wanted a CE. Back in '83 I even built a 1:20th scale CE model kit that was on display at the local hobby shop. Now I realize I could really use the floor space in the garage. I've decided to sell.

I didn't realize until recently Chevy made more 427 Corvettes in 1967 alone than '82 Collector's Editions!

Paint/Body: Original Collector's Edition's special paint with gradient decals This car is extremely well-preserved original. Paint shines nicely. While it is among the best original paint Collector's Edition C3s I have seen in decades, on close inspection, as one would expect, the car displays limitations of contemporary materials now 35+ years old -- the hood decal is cracking (which is actually a really cool desert floor effect) and has many chip repairs. Still it shows really well.
Two sets of t-tops: smoke solar pair and original C3 glass pair, (but one has broken glass and needs to have glass replaced.)

Interior: Leather seats recently reupholstered to OEM standards. Carpet and rest of interior in very nice original condition. Everything works! AC converted and blows super cold. OEM radio.

Mechanical: Cross Fire (aka throttle body injected) engine runs/performs very nicely. Brakes and steering are better than on any other of many C3s I have owned or driven.

Priced on CL at $12,750, but I'd sell to a CorvetteForum member at $11K, If you haven't looked at the market for even an "average" 1982 Collector's Edition, check out how they have gone way up when we have been out enjoying them. (Look at Hagerty Valuation Tools.) Given what's out there, this is way above an average '82 CE.
