Well well. Why do you say it's a "starter vette?"
Any undercarriage pics. I think someone might be happy with this.
Is it legit L-82?
Care to share any negatives on the car? That goes a long way.
Any old paperwork? I like it.
More interior and under pics will get this thing sold even though its
winter. Best of luck.
Looks like registration expired this past May. What's up with the car?

There are some negatives, but nothing major, the console needs to be buttoned up, the console sides need to be secured, that takes a little patience and time that I just didn't get to yet. I have the correct valve covers to replace the chrome shown in the pics. heater works, defrost works but the blower fan is a little weak. air condition needs repair.
the car is registered now, I just forgot to do it at the time.
the paint is not bad, it shows ok, there are some spots that look like it was painted and not blended too well, but not an eyesore.
dash has no cracks, carpets are good condition. does not leak at all.
hope this answers some of your concerns, thanks for asking.
as far as saying it's a starter vette, this car is perfect for someone who wants a nice driver an a real L82 W/ 4 SPD that shifts great, that don't have the big bucks, that's looking for a good running classic.

I am restoring a 1977 now, my third 77, and I love working with them.
I am located about an hour away from you at 18045 in Easton, PA.
If anyone is interested in this car and would like me to look it over for them and give an assessment of the car I would be glad to do that, just cover my gas to get there and back, and I can give it the detailed look. I use the NCRS reference guide for a 1977 as my checklist and report on key part numbers, date codes, repair areas, wear areas, observable damage, and review any paperwork that is available with the car.
1977's are one of the years you can get dealer shipping records on and that contains the details of the car that was ordered. Easy to pull originality details from that as well.
I might recommend you add a few pictures to help your buyers see what you have there. 1) VIN pad on the engine; 2) data plate on the inside of the drivers door; 3) interior pictures of the dash and carpeting area; 4) Pictures of any documents you might have that go with the car like operators manual; protectoplate; service manuals, etc. All to help support your asking price and all to help buyers consider your vehicle.
Good luck with your sale.
Best regards,
David Howard

Would like to hear more about the mechanicals. Is the engine original to the car? Any details on a rebuild? Does the trans shift with no issues? Any vibrations at speed? I'm also curious to see the underbody pics when available. Thanks...

no issues with the trans. this is a great running car, there are some issues though nothing serious. the speedo freezes sometimes and the exhaust is loud. tires are new all around, brakes have no issues and stops on a dime. no air of course, it's there but needs attention. i asked my mechanic to evaluate it's "bones", so to speak, and he told me it's a solid car and a lot of fun to drive. the only other thing is the console needs to be buttoned up. hope this helps. I've been with this forum for years and would never sell a car here if it was not worthy.
some member is going to get a really good car to have fun and don't have to break the bank.

Joe, I hope by now you have recovered from your injury and are feeling much better. Those shoulder injuries are painful, ask me how I know.
Just checking to see if you have an update on the car? There seemed to be a lot of interest initially.
Nice looking car for sure and well equipped with that Tilt/Tele; Rear Window Defrost; A/C; power windows; power brakes; and a four speed to boot. Nice.
I love the 77's for a bunch of reasons including the look but when they come this well equipped with a four speed (only about 2,000 of them made) I really love them.
Good luck with your sale.
