If you see the car in person, you will very likely to be able to tell whether its 4k or 104k. When I looked at my 79, it was claimed to have 59k miles or something on it (the kilometer odometer showed just shy of 100,000 k at which time it rolls back over to zero). So, before I looked at it it was a question if it had 59K or 119k miles on it. When I saw the car I was bowled over by how beautiful the interior was. I knew the floorpans were steel so I looked at them. They looked so good I thought I must be mistaken that they were steel, I decided they must be fiberglass or something else that couldn't rust, the floorboards were just pristine. The body mounts behind the kick panel showed a covering of rust but not deeply pitted or severe. I went back to the interior and it was just like looking inside a 79 Corvette in the showroom back in 79 (I imagined). It was obvious to me the car had just shy of 100,000 kilometers on it (60,000 miles), not 200,000 kilometers on it.
And if you go look at it in person and you can't tell for sure if its 4k or an extremely well preserved 104k, does it matter? I don't think it would to me.

That's one nice 80, very nice. Wish my 80 was as clean as this. Just keep working on it a little at a time. It doesn't get much use , our Collector gets the attention now. Best for your sale, One very nice pc of history. Not many low mile ones out there.
