Size: 990.2 KBHello,
Just joined so, i don't know what I'm doing but, see below

All original 1968 Corvette Stingray Coupe 327 cu. in. 350 h.p. with a/c & p/s car. Four speed Muncie trans. with Posi Trac rear end. Number's matching. I have personally checked the vin. # with the block, heads, casting numbers, and intake. All MATCHING.
The short Story: Met the second owner in 86, saw the car in the garage on jacks, after all these years I finally talked him into selling in 2104. I've had the gas tank re-conditioned, (yes, I have the "Build Sheet") fuel lines cleaned, oil and etc. It starts and goes into gear forward and reverse and is ready for the great "restoration" Body is in perfect shape, never been wrecked, slight bent front bumper on right. The issues, needs new carpet, seats reupholstered, correct steering column and gauges reinstalled. (2nd owner wanted tilt steering so, he was in process of changing, view pics)). Paint is original so, decisions to repaint or keep original patina is up to buyer.
This will be a once in a life time "barn find" for the buyer.
If you are ready to purchase and make a deal.

Welcome. A few standard questions you may be asked:
- Can you get pics of the underside
- Can you send a pic of the build sheet
- Can you describe birdcage condition
- Can you get pics of the body mounts behind the front kick panels (easy to get at)
- Can you get pics of the matching numbers you described
- Do you have the T-tops
- Can you shoot a video of the engine running (starting and walkaround too)
- a shot of the trim tag
- did you get any paperwork from the prior owner; can you go back to him and ask?
- can you shoot the pics in better lighting so we can see more detail

In short, folks like to see as much as they can, and the more pics you provide the more responses you may get.

Good luck.

I saw your ad HERE on Corvette Trader too.

I might be interested, but I'm a little confused on the asking price though...one price here and another on Corvette Trader. Which is the right one??

Only $19,000. GLWS! Do you have the original missing pieces such as the steering collum, guages, steering wheel, valve covers etc?

Default FS, 1968, C-3, T-Top, [CA] $15,000

I moved to Southern California in the fall of 1986. While getting accustomed to the new atmosphere, I went to a party in Monrovia with my cousin who has lived in California his entire life. While at this party I noticed a 1968 Corvette Stingray in my cousin’s friend’s garage. At the time I enjoyed the party and did not think much of the car. Fast forward 29 years, to 2015, and the same friend of my cousin’s wanted to sell this 1968 beauty. I did not put two and two together until I arrived to buy the car. I saw the same ‘Vette in the same garage, in the same spot from the party in Monrovia back in 1986. The car was even on the same jack stands! I even checked the license plate and the tags were registered to expire in 1986. My cousin’s friend was the second owner and he purchased the car in 1969 when he returned home from the Vietnam War.
The car was garage kept the whole time, rarely driven, and only had 55k miles. The owner claimed he wanted to change out the steering column to have a tilt for easy in and out of the car, this explains the “bird nest” of wires on the dash. (see attached photos)
I purchased the car for a fair price, dropped the tank and found the “build sheet”, cleaned the tank and reinstalled. We did get the car started, were I can drive it on and off the car trailer. I do have all the dash pieces and gauges, along with the correct tele-scoping steering column. According to this “build sheet” the car comes with power steering, A/C, power breaks, power windows, 327 cubic inch/350 horsepower, 4 speed Muncie, transmission, along with a post-trac rear end. My family and I have been cleaning and caring for the car since we bought it. Removing all the old carpet and damage left by the previous owner. We even found that the car has original paint and matching numbers, i checked the block and the pillar, pulled the valve covers and checked the casting numbers with the year, along with the manifold and etc.. The car is now sitting on the trailer covered and under our carport. As a family we think this is a cool find and we look forward to building and working on the car together but, to do this right our budget does not fit into this rebuild. Please let me know if anyone is interested in this barn/garage find, I'm asking $15,000.
Please see photo and call or text me at 760-799-3932, Rancho Cucamonga, CA
thank you

Jonser, there’s no need to attach the same 10 pictures to every post.

It starts to make the thread hard to read after awhile.

You had it on corvette trader for $15,000 and put it on here for $19,000. I was being sarcastic. See smiley face. Good luck selling your car.
