Nice unrestored '68 convertible (SOLD)
Thirty years ago, I bought my girlfriend a nice base motor, automatic, air-conditioned, two-top, Safari Yellow 1968 Corvette convertible to go along with my '67 L79 coupe. So as to not mince words, she hated it. She said she could not see the nose of the car over the hood, and although the car had power steering, it didn't have power brakes. She drove in once; after that it was relegated to languishing in one corner of my shop or other. Every couple of years I'd take it out and drive it for a few hundred miles to make sure everything was all right and to refresh the fluids. About 20 years ago, I took it out to go to a car show, and when I got to the stop sign at the corner, the engine simply quit running. The timing gear had stripped. I brought it back to the shop and ended up completely rebuilding the engine and transmission. I put it back together and all is well with the world since then. I have put about 3500 miles on the rebuilt engine and transmission with no problems, and have also replaced the u-joints in the axles since then.
I have come to the point in my life when I am realizing I have to downsize. I have reluctantly decided that I will start with this car. It is a very nice never restored car that runs and drives excellently. It has it's original born with engine and transmission and many other unique hard to find '68 parts. Over the years, as the car needed attention, I made sure that I tried to find NOS or good used correct parts to effect any repairs. This is a car that could be easily brought up to top-flight standards, but it is good enough to use as is. It is a May build car, so it has the extra cowl reinforcements and though it does rattle a bit over the rough stuff, it is a pleasure to drive. It does have the complete factory air on it, but it doesn't work. We really don't need it up here north of Brainerd, so I never bothered re-charging it. When I took it out this spring it drove and ran great, but the radio has quit working, which is why this one has jumped to the top of my list. This car was originally sold in Wichita, Kansas (I have the NCRS shipper document) where I bought it. It has been in Minnesota for the last 30 years, but has always been stored under the best conditions. There are absolutely no problems with the frame or birdcage. I was not able to get pictures of the engine stampings because the A/C and A.I.R systems are in the way. I have some pictures that were taken when the engine was out being rebuilt showing this information which I will share with anyone who is seriously interested. I have no other paper work on the car, but was told it was purchased from from the original owner by "Howard's Corvettes" in Wichita who sold it to me.
I would like $22,500 for this car. I'm sure you could fly in and drive it home. I'm going to miss this old friend, but all good things must come to an end. If you have any questions, to can PM me or email me at dennyodoms@gmail.com.

It's really amazing to see a C3 that has not been monkeyed around with and everything as it was originally. Beautiful car, if I bought it for my wife the same thing would happen....

Videos of my 1968 Corvette.
Some of the interested parties wanted to see some videos of the car. I'm not very good with a camera, but I did manage to get a few. Here they are :

Ooops! I made a mistake!. The radio works fine; I just didn't turn the volume up enough to hear it. (In my best Homer Simpson voice : "Doouh"!)

If I didn’t have my ‘69 Id go look at it.
Its amazing people complain about the cost of chrome bumper cars when there’s good, honest roadsters like this around for this price. Some people would rather spend crazy money on fake kits to make another car look like one instead.
Nice Car, shouldn’t last at all.
