Actually the ‘72 LT-1 was 255 hp. The CKY is correct.

PURE JUNK. I've come across better cars in the junkyard. That would be best as a parts car.

Wow, that's rough. I wanted to see a pic of the tach to see where the redline shows.
ok, while I agree with all of you, let’s assume that it really is what the seller says it is. What’s it really worth?

A 1 owner, fully documented LT-1 A/C convertible is a rare and desirable car. At the very least, needs frame repair, a full restoration and paint. What if the asking was $20k?

I don’t follow the market too closely, but wasn’t there a guy on the forum for sale section trying to sell a tri-power car that was in the midst of restoration for about the same money?

Good question, IF it needs major rust repairs and has birdcage damage which it might, for me, it sadly may by a parts car. No word if it runs, can the matching drive train be saved? At what cost? I am pretty sure you would need to put in more money in it then its worth when you are all said and done. Upside down. It would need to be a labor of love. So what is the price for the parts it has????? $5-10K

I was watching when I saw that LT-1 cross the blocks.....Been following pricing for years, shocked that it went that high....If anything, this one for 35K may garner some interest....

I'm glad to see any C3's go up in value, but compared to LT1's, it seems like comparable chrome bumper big block values are stagnant. Supply and demand will certainly dictate current values.

I don't think these "specialty"' auction prices are based on or indicative of the reality of the market. They are in their own world and may cause a temporary buzz but i does not carry through. Ike

I don't think C3 prices are going up in general but the very desirable examples such as this LT-1 AC roadster will always be higher priced and likely increase even when the rest stay flat or even decrease.

And I think this car is not too bad. Rust repair is a problem but worth the headache on a car like this. And anything is fixable on a original drive train vehicle with a low production number and high desirability. If this car has any original GM docs to go with it then the price is not really too over the top.

The one thing I see that I do not like is that all the front end brackets are out of the nose and it is starting to droop. You can see the gap at the point of the hood. Its not too far out of shape yet but its not good to keep the brackets out of the front end without support for too long. It puts a lot of stress on the nose and then makes it more difficult to get the brackets back in and to line up properly. Anyone that's taken out all the bumper brackets and put them back knows how hard it is. Its even harder when the nose has started warping....

that is the new way to remove a nose. unbolt everything up front and let gravity separate the bonding strips. you notice the ONLY interior pic was the speedo? nice thing about this craigslist gold. we can bust on them. when a member posts a car for sale it is considered impolite to call it a POS.
