Pretty bad attitude wasn’t it

The few pics show a pretty nice car. Might actually be what they claim, a 7500 mile car.

Seller comes across like a jerk.
I don't believe for one minute....7500 miles.
It's too easy to restore something and come up with fake miles.
45 year old car....looks too perfect.
But...does say...all documents...for 7500 miles...should not be any maintenance documents....
Selling documents, bill of sale..

that one has been for sale for a long time. a year I think. dropped off for awhile but came back- at the price of course.

I like it, my dad wants a 73, but something just seems off with it. seller def comes off as a jerk in the ad. not a single under hood shot. and there is no 270 hp 350 in 73.

So contact him and ask for pics.......
Why does anyone think he has an attitude?
The ad is pretty standard Craiglist.......
Find out the facts before throwing darts.

I fail to see where this guy is rude. I see an ad that is cut to the chase, upfront, and very straight forward. People claim they want no BS deals and when you find that in a seller he’s rude now?
I swear everyone is a panty waist and gets butt hurt so easily nowadays.
I love how people say I’d never buy from him or whatever made up excuse which translates.......I don’t have the money or cant buy the car anyways.

i said the guy was a jerk because as you said he wrote his ad as "no bs straight forward" but he doesn't even know the HP rating of his car he is selling, combine that with the lack of pictures of a car he is asking a premium for, and all the "!!!" in the ad, just doesn't come off well to most

The attitude is a Craigslist thing.... If you've ever listed a car, or even a used tissue on craigslist you get the creeps, scammers and tire kickers galore coming out. CL use to be good for selling things, now it's good for getting screwed. Literally and out of money!

I don't take his "to the point post" as rude, he's eliminating tire kickers and BS calls. The object is to sell something as quickly as possible, he could start out high and waste time dealing with "I need to sell my car first", or "I have to see if my bank will loan the money".

If you don't like his matter of factness, move on to the next listing. He's the only one that will suffer if he is truly being rude.

The only way to really know and judge the true demeanor of the seller is to talk to him. If I were in the market for this car I would definitely call, and make my decisions whether or not to move forward based on the results of that call.

In addition, the only way to judge whether or not the car is a "real deal" low mileage 1973 would be to actually meet with the seller and personally inspect the car inside and out, top-to-bottom. An inspection will prove or disprove any claims made on the car. No one can judge this (or ANY) car by 6 pictures posted in a CL ad.

Carry on!

I have followed this post the last few days...I own a 73 vert for the past 16 years...At times I think of selling due to the fact I have a C4 ZR-1 as well....

Maybe in actuality the guy is an honest seller....However, personally I would not write some of the things that were written in the add.....Of course a 73 with 7,500 miles is a unicorn...

To me its def.worth taking a look at it...Hey if someone buys it you can always break his chops at the time of the sale....With 19,000 dollars in hand, everybody has a sense of humor...

Looks really nice and could be a 7500 mi car. Can easily be verified in person. He sounds like a guy who has dealt with the usual Craigslist idiots and scammers and is not going to suffer any more fools. Not a bad price if real.

That's your loss, not his.

I write my Craigslist ads the same way, perhaps worse.

I tell people if they don't have cash in hand and aren't within 5 miles of my neighborhood don't even bother to call.

The ONE guy who wants whatever I'm selling will get a good item at a great price.

The tire kickers, flippers, people who want you to lower your price before they even see it -- can all go eff themselves.

Half the questions I'm asked I've already answered in the ad.

This guys selling a great car at a smokin' price if it is what he claims it to be. Why should he waste his time talking to people who "want more information"

(Although an engine picture would be helpful.)

When a great deal comes along, you jump quickly. If you don't, someone else WILL.

Go to your bank, get cash, and go buy it. Or STFU and leave the seller alone!

That looks like a pretty straight-forward ad for Craigslist. Not a CF posting, but Craigslist is the wild west. In a week or two, he'll probably sell it to someone with $15K cash.

Mileage is meaningless compared to condition, though. What does the underside look like?
