Definately needs work, under the hood especially and a no option car, but if the frame/birdcage are good and the paint is as good as it looks, might be a decent value.

Hey CA, I am curious as to what you see, more from a educational point of view, in the pics regarding the engine.

I am am looking at them on my phone but I see missing shielding, some corrosion and peeling paint, some irratic and poorly run wiring. What else?

Thanks Ike

Just on a quick glance, the wiring and hoses are a mess, one belt is missing (missing smog pump?) and there’s an old, rusty set of headers (not stock). I don’t see too much rust under the hood but rather neglect. Everything is dirty or tarnished. Look at the boot on the wiper door actuator. It’ll fall apart first time you use it.

CA thanks for the response. Very difficult for me when looking at cars thru pics to determine the status of a car. For some reason I can’t focus on issue unless the car is in front of me.

The car needs work for sure. The seller has stated so. What I don’t know. But the replacement engine is a big let down for me.

I am am trying to educate my “eye” as best I can. Thanks again Ike.

If it’s a real LT-1 CE block, it’s not quite as bad as an NOM one. NCRS even accepts them without points deduction (or significant points, can’t remember which). As for value, it’s probably in between, leaning towards NOM.
