collector edition or semi-clone?
So Keith....How come it's the wrong color, what happened to the stripe packages? Interesting point; If its been color changed and etc is it still a 1982 Collector Edition.
Does the VIN plate support this contention?
I'm not convinced here.
I know because I own one, with 18k on it.
How about posting up some better pictures? ps yes that is a 1982 Collector Edition badge (cloisonne') on the nose....so that's $100 'addition'. See my avatar picture.
In the pictures you're going to post...POP THE HATCH OPEN...separates the men from the boys.!

Hi L-46man
I have requested the VIN and additional photos from the seller. We are a 23-year old classified ads website and the Corvettes offered for sale are not here so I cannot answer your questions directly. I'll post more when I have that info. If you wish to reach out directly to the seller, just follow the links and fill out the response form under the ad.

In the interest in fairness, and not wanting to be snarky....went to the website. Yes! it has the correct hatch....you can see the little hinge/lock buttons. Does it open is another question?
Even though the price is er-ah reasonable... the color change is a negative $10,000 bill. Just the stripe package ALONE is $1500.
Shame really. I was at the Pavillions in SCTS/AZ this Sat.....I have the number of a guy who's looking....for a 'real' one.
Interior pix are a must....a burnt out interior is $5000.
Good luck! there are less then 10 in AZ.
Thanks for the cordial response.

Thanks for your reply L-46man. I'm not so sure about a color change as there are some long shadows from an afternoon sun in the photo provided. When I compare that front fender to the front fender in your photo, they are quite similar. Also, you can see the Collector Edition pinstripes on the front and rear fenders and the lines on the door are the same as yours as well. But it is missing the hood and side graphics. Hopefully, the seller will provide some more info!
Thanks again for your interest!

Sixth digit in the VIN will be a 0 if it was a CE. My formerly owned 82 CE now resides in Tolleson, AZ just west and south of Phoenix.
