I am selling my 1979 L82 4 speed L82 Corvette. The car has 5900 original miles on it, yes 5900 not 59,000. Here is the story. The Car was purchased brand new in 1979 by my wife's step father. He was a Colonel in the US Army, lived in the same town his entire life and never drove the car more than a few miles from his house. He was frequently stationed around the world for long periods of time and stored the car in his garage during those times. In 1984 the speedometer broke at 4300 mies and was replaced with a new one. I have attached photos of the old speedometer which i have, as well as the receipt for the new one. Over the next 4 years he put about 1200 more miles on the car until he put it in his garage in 1988. The car stayed in his garage for the next 27 years until he got cancer. In 2015 one of his best friends had the car made road worthy again so he could drive it one more time before he passed away. He put new brake lines, pads calipers, belts, hoses, battery, tires, shocks, fluids, exhaust from down pipe back, detailed the interior and exterior and had the wheels polished. The AC does not work but everything else is in good working order. I drove the car to a few car shows in 2016 but purchased a 2017 ZO6 2 years ago so the car has not been driven other than moving it around my property for the last 2 years. My wife finally decided to sell it because she wants someone to enjoy driving this car.

My dad just finished restoring a 79 with a similar story (20k mile car). His is also a 4 speed (non l82)
