Aloha John,
I'm the one who bought the car almost 2 years and still own it. Hard to believe 2 years has gone by already! A friend of mine and myself flew out to WI and drove
the car all the way back to NV (where I currently live). He also had a new white 73 back in the day, but unfortunately he wrecked it (in the early 80s) on a wet a bridge
in DC (and he wishes he still had it)
Anyway, I don't usually hang out on the forums too much and saw your reply via an email that was sent to our email account. I'll probably be keeping it for a
while longer. My daughter in law wants it, but she can't reach the peddles and can't drive the manual (so I doubt if they will end up with it [plus they already have a
70 Mach 1)...
I have been working on it here and there and put about 500 miles on it over the last 2 years. The tires are 12 years old and figured there's no since getting the new tires
new tires yet until most of the work is done (I do drive it occasionally, but not over 45 and definitely not on the freeway). We're changing the power steering control valve tomorrow.
The only problems I had with it were all the 'self inflicted' type. Thanks for the interest and I'll keep your info (just in case)!

Thanks for the get back - Enjoy the vette and drive her. I ordered the 1973 L82 4spd (summer) brand new and had it ready when I turned 16 in October 1973. Had saved and paid &5200 cash. Upon pick-up I drove that day to local tire / speed shop and spent the balance of my $ on BF Goodrich tires along with Crager wheels. Had a single white pinstripe on front fenders, back fenders and across spoiler. Also, around top (back window) and on hood side sort of like the LT1 hood striping. Under street lights the stripes would stand out. Sold 2 years later, (sold for $5400 & thought I made a deal), when went off to college (bad decision). Not college but selling vette. It was a car I could tinker on. Not like the new ones. Had many good times in that car. Later, I had a 67(327) convertible with a hard top that was in relative good shape, but sold when I married. Great times! Best wishes - John H. Parker jr
