For Sale: Modified 72 Coupe 550HP 383 DFI, 6 speed $13,000
Serious about selling...getting married in a few weeks....have to pay for the engagement ring!
Just changed the plugs and will change the oil and put new motor mounts within the next week. Will probably do new spark plug wires too (well I did 1 last night, got 7 to go!)
Was having issues with my 2nd Optima battery so I just put a new Sears battery in. (Are the Optimas crap or am I juts having bad luck?!?!?)
No issues with Sears battery.
550hp/510tq 383, 6 inch rods, AFR210 heads, 4 bolt splayed (~1000 miles on the motor) Accel DFI 6 fuel injection, Crower Solid Roller Cam, 36# injectors on a modified Brodix HV1000 single plane manifold, 1100cfm throttle body, Paxton Blue Pump
Hooker Super Comp headers into 2.5" exhaust with a Dr Gas X pipe.
Richmond Gear 6 speed mated to a 3.08 rear(rebuilt with forged axles & Auburn Posi)
4 point cage with removable door bars
82 Style Seats
Vette Brakes Front Transverse Suspension with Carrera Shocks, 315# rear fiberglass spring with offset trailing arms.
17" Centerlines: Front 8" with 255.50 Dunlop 8000, Rear: one set 9.5" with 285.40's Dunlops, another set with 275.45 Nitto Drag Radials.
Be-Kool Aluminum Radiator with Flex-a-lite Electric Fan, 120amp alternator
Car needs bodywork, a paint job, and some interior work to be complete.
Pics can be found at: http://www.clubphoto.com/reward.php?...ich685546&pwd=
Got a new digtal cam and will gladly take more pics or video!
With 15" drag radials and some more patience this car could probably run 10.99 as driven to the track...ran 11.54 @ 120 on Hoosiers with 1 5/8 headers and ran 11.60 @120 with Nittos and the larger Hooker Super Comps.
This is a very streetable car, idles at about 950rpms, starts right up, runs kool....(It survived the Stars & Stripes run into NYC last July 4, 2002)
I took it to work and back today (35 miles each way) and it even handled morning rush hour on the New Jersey Turnpike ;) temps were running about 195-200 in the stop-n-go and 180-190 on the highway.
Email me with any questions...

If I could sell my original 72, I'd probably be seriously interested in this one. I want to go modified.

Nice pics of the car. Id like to know how much trouble you had getting the ROD 6 speed to fit . DId you look at the Tremec 5 speed which is supposed to be a bolt in job ? Thanks. Dave.
...and congradulations on your wedding .
