I've found the best way is to just sit there and look cool until everyone leaves! Either that or I concentrate my azz off to get a good plant with my left foot. Exiting a C4 has a way of showing everyone your age unless you plan ahead. I've got it down pretty good, just got to think about it ahead of time.

I have found the best thing about getting in or out is not to be in a hurry. I just take my time, and ease my way in or out. When your my age you have to think smarter, not work harder. Having lower back problems will also slow you down. Nothing worse than a pinched and irritated nerve. Ouch.

When sitting in the seat, turn so that both feet are square on the ground before you try and lift yourself. Then just stand straight up (remember the tip from corvetteronw). When getting in, turn your hips to the side, bend both your knees and hips so that you butt lands on the seat before either of your feet leave the ground.
There is a little 'finese' to this, but everybody's body is a little different, so you will have to adjust accordingly.

I just plop in the seat and thread my legs in. At 5'11 and 175lbs., I have no problems getting in and out. Us C4 owners literally put our cars on when we get in them!

I'm 6'1" @ 275 lbs. and use the Fozzy Bear method with a few extras. Going in, I sit and slide all the way in before turning 90 degrees. Right knee with bent leg first then left foot first, left knee last. Don't abuse the console lid. Getting out, left knee first then right foot follows while beginning 90 degree turn. Right hand on side of windshield frame. When I turn, I put my right toe under the open door frame to help with pulling forward and staying low I kind of spin my *** mostly onto the door sill. Then stand up.

Like someone said earlier, its a worthwile ritual getting in because its a blast to drive. Getting into some fighter cockpits and the Apache helicopter front seat aren't easy either, but you can't match the ensuing experience at all.

There is only one way to get out as far as i am concerned...and you won't get finger prints all over the windshield...
plant your left foot on the ground, put your left hand on the door sill near the seat belt, place your right foot on the tranny tunnel and push with your right leg.
pop, you're out....and it works for the passenger too (unless they're in a short skirt )
