Gauging Interest in Personalized 1/24 Scale C4 Models
Just wanted to see if there is any interest in having a 1/24 scale model of your C4 built and matched to replicate your actual car.
If your interested, let me know. Trying to gauge interest and what people would pay for it.
Select Yes or No and post what you would consider a fair price for this service.

I would definitely be interested in it but just like the forum member before me how much detail could go into it? Two tone interior seats, Z06 replica chrome rims, converticoupe back, grand sport look alike stripe? What options would be available? If a similiar car could be made I'd be willing to pay a pretty good price but there is a limit and it would have to be unique like mine is. Interested though to hear about it. If something comes of it let me know wardf@monterey.navy.mil Al

It would start off with a basic 1/24 kit of the appropriate year and body style (cpe or vert). The kit would be assembled as the interior, exterior is hand painted and airbrushed to match the images provided or kit recommendation if no images are provided (underbody details).
GS Stripes would not be a problem. Custom painting is possible as long as an image was provided. Im having orange/red ghost flames painted on mine to see what it will look like on the car.
Different wheels are possible since there are many 1/24 scale kits available to obtain them from. However, the extra kit will cost a little more since 2 kits will be needed to create one car.
I'll check on custom body pieces (ground effect kits / convert-a-coupes) because if no existing kit are available, each piece would have to be custom made and a mold created. Not entirely impossible, but it will definitely cost more for supplies and time to create them. Spoilers will be easier than entire body kits.
For a normal kit personalized to match, what would it be worth? Figuring most basic kits are around $10 from hobby stores.

1/18 scale would just depend on whats available as a starting point.
The 1/8 models are doable for the 84-87 (doubt alternate wheels are available) guys that do not have custom wheels, but would depend on market price for the kit and then extra for the time to complete.

Somehow I feared you would be interested. Let me look into it, but my guess is highly doubtful to very expensive on the engine work and the body work would be on the pretty expensive side.

I collect 1/18, and have several vettes. I have been unable to find a decent C4. Maisto makes one, but I go for mostly for the AutoArt stuff. If I could find, or have built, a 1/18 Dark Red Metallic coupe with saddle interior and a plexi top, my grasp on my money would indeed be loosened.

you might have a hard time finding appropriate kits
I dont know of any L98 kits that are currently being produced, and they are becoming rare
Even LT1 kits are hard to find
revell/monogram and AMT only make the last ZR1s now

just some personal advice you need to watch what you offer if someone is going to have a replica made there going to expect just that and personally think some of these would be next to impossible to duplicate other then the factory car there is plenty of us on here that have mods you could not duplicate with a model without getting into some ridiculous pricing jmho
also like bilyk said most of the c4 models are getting hard to find unless you buy off ebay then the price is already up there with shipping and all
