Thanks to everyone for the input. I agree that it is a parts car or candidate for a destruction derby.

Please tell me that you are just joking about taking a fiberglass car into a demolition derby.

·Fifty "Malcolm Konner Commemorative Edition" 1986 Corvettes were built in a special arrangement honoring the New Jersey Chevrolet dealership's founder, Malcolm Konner.
Each Corvette had special two-tone paint schemes, Silver Beige over Black, coded "spec".Window stickers reflected 4OO1ZA as the RPO, and a $500 cost for MALCOLM KOONER SP.EDIT.PAI. All were coups, twenty with manual transmissions, thity with automatics.
All had graphite leather interiors. One was retrofitted with a Callaway twin-turbo engine.
This car matches the description as the interior is graphite leather. To bad it is in the shape it's in.

you know something... if it IS a malcom conner car, then its worth bringing back.
However, if nothing else, the parts are worth it. The D44 is worth $2k on it's own.
Catch my drift?

Keep in mind there's only 20 or so (manual trans) of that model in existence. Check the numbers with C4 registry.
Like posted before, it's something worthy of restoration, not an average Corvette. Also, Corvettes are just starting to climb in value. A Corvette collector would love to add a rare C4 like that to his collection. Those are the ones going for a lot more than average, even with the miles on it. I'd contact someone in this line of work to get an estimate of what it would sell for finished. I think it would be worth doing, IMO.
Offer him $1500, see if he takes it.

What's interesting about this Vette is it has it's own RPO designator: 4OO1ZA as the RPO, only 20 were built with manual transmissions, also previously posted here. I assume it still has the original transmission & engine, a big plus.

...if it is a true Malcom Konner (note the K) it is worth it to someone in the Corvette world to bring it back to life. Of course, that someone isn't necessarily the originator of this thread.
