88 hit a curb going sideways - Parts?
It's not good! I need these parts for an 88. rear 16 inch wheel, spindle, where the bat wings attach it broke the diff housing.
I really can't tell if the trailing arm assembly is bent.
Does anybody know a good place to get the whole rear assembly from a junk or salvage yard?

I think you should check local salvage yards first. I think online you will get killed with shipping. The only salvage place I've used online is vette2vette - great guys!

I called around to the local places. Just no 88's at this time.

Somebody more familiar with the early C4s I'm sure will be more help, but at least everything aside from the wheel should be compatible from at least as early as 86, maybe 85 or 84 and as late as 89, maybe 90.
I'd check for you, but all my MAM catalogs went out in last week's trash. The years that the brakes are compatible should tell you a bunch about the rest of the parts you need.
The wheel though, you might be better off 'upgrading' to something you like better, unless you're just in love with those stock wheels... Sawblades and A-molds are both plentiful, as well as a nice selection of C5 wheels. I hear those 'wagon wheels' go fairly cheaply these days.

Holy crap George - what are you doing driving a C-4? I thought you were only authorized to drive upto and including C-3's. See what happens when you play with the bigboys!

There's Contemporary Corvette (link on my site) but they're on the East coast.
Don't foreget that '88 had different back spacing (offset) from '87 but same as '89 and maybe later.

I was not driving or even in the car. It got hauled to my house on a strecher AFU! I'm just going to help a friend rebuild it. It's pretty bad.

I've got calls into Vette2Vette and another place about getting the whole rear assembly.
The passenger rear wheel has about 3-4 inches of toe out and + 33 degrees of camber. The wheel is smashed in till it broke the caliper and bent the trailing arms spindle. The aluminum differential case is broken and all the oil has leaked out.
You right the frame might have really taken a shot even though the body looks straight. It's not going to be cheap or fun. You might find this hard to believe but he was out drinking and hauling ass1

Trailing arms (control arms) and all the front to rear mounted stuff should be fine. The control arms have a lot of give side to side, and don't see much side load.
The batwing could have bent the chassis mounts too, you should make sure they're lined up and not compromised.

This is the update: I’ll help my friend fix his 88, but I don’t get in the middle of financial transactions. I just gave him the phone numbers and he is doing the haggling and purchasing. I told him to just get the whole rear assembly pumkin and all. It’s better to have to many unneeded items than two shipments and time delays. I also told him that it might almost be decision time about just offing the car. It’s a no frills plain Jane stocker with 140,000 miles and it’s showing it’s age. I want to get it done and out of my garage. I have not blown it apart because you can still move it with a floor jack under the bad rear. If he decided to off it, I wouldn’t want the whole rear out then no way to move it.
So if the parts are on the way - I'll get busy. I've got a pretty good frame man. So that part isn't a big deal.
