Default Taking things for granted..

Sometimes we take things for granted.
For the time I have been in this forum I have always found great support from all the members and was greatfull of that.
As a new member or as you call it a newbie, I found myself with the confidence to ask , no matter what and get a straight opinion from experts.
I just stepped into a new forum ( 300ZX ), just to learn a little bit on those cars that i also happen to like. I do non own one as I do with the Vette.
What I found is that if you are a Newbie you will not get answers and you are supposed to be an instant expert or be labeled as a jerk.

So I want to express my honest gratitud to all the members that have made me feel comfortable in this forum and been such a big help.
This place is great, thank you all!

I'm glad your experiences here have been good ones. Generally, the only dumb question is the one unasked. However, when people can construct a coherent sentence, use capitalization and punctuation, etc., they'll generally be taken more seriously than someone who makes no effort in these regards. Kudos to you for not speaking in "internet" Babylonian!

This forum is full of good people. I have been on other forums and some do ignore newbs, or if you are not in the "clique" you get ignored. I love my vettes and am not new to the cars themselves, but I am new to this forum . Even so, I feel I can post & communicate and people will respond. This is a great place.

Right back atcha! Woops! That's not an internet "Babble-lon", is it? Not trying to do it.

I've been a member of two other car forums, and altho there can be a couple of "hardcases" on CF, mostly, I'd agree with you.

On another car forum, it really seems as if they're speaking a code and one that newbies not only don't know, but can't learn (well, ok. I mean, I can't seem to... ).

Keep on keepin' on.

I agree. I am new to working on Corvettes. So some of my questions may seem strange or basic to long time Vette owners but to me it is new. Everyone here has been very helpful and the responses are quick too. I have been on many other car forums. I own other exotic cars (I don't mention them here) and spend time on those forums as well. I will say that I spend most of my time on this forum. I like that most of the people here try to help vs. their Ego. IMO no ? is stupid. Everyone has their specialty. Great site.

You should see what some of the other forums are like. Some of them are unbelievable, as in nasty. The personal attacks can be incredible. A lot of people get their frustrations out in them. It's safe for them to attack people from behind their screens. I was hesitant to ever get back on line but this forum changed my mind. The fall cruise really showed me the good side of it all.

Well now I think you have to! That is, of course, only if you don't mind.

My interest is piqued - don't think anyone here would be upset if you said you owned, say, a Countach. If you have pics that would be even better

OT is like the weird uncle that no one talks about...... That's where you go if you're into the "M" part of S&M.

Glad you like this Forum. Welcome. For me my experiences on the internet say this is the BEST Forum on the internet. OT isn't as bad as some folks think. Now PRC, you better hold on to your hat if you post in that section.

Exotic cars????
Let's see um.
I posted pics of my Blazer with Vette wheels on it. How exotic is that?

Ok, I have a few Ferraris and a Rolls Royce. I do all my own service on them as well. If you have any ?s I would be happy to answer them. You can PM me if you like.
This is one of the best/most helpful forums on the net. I like the fact that even the basic ?s don't receive rude or ego driven answers. (a newbie is expected to know it all as soon as you they get on a forum)
I have been enjoying some of the topics in the Off Topic section. Some of the ?s/answers make me laugh.
