None came from the factory with any LT-4 badging. Most vette catalogs sell these though and they can be added by the owner.

Is the ZR1 emblem the only rear bumper badging on the C4 that came from the factory?

I believe so, but can't say for sure. I do believe the LT-1 and LT-4 badges you sometimes see are aftermarket.

Thank you. I am really looking forward to getting this car. I sold my 94 LT1 automatic a month or so ago to get a 94 Copper Metallic car. Since the Copper cars are so rare, I decided to go with my next choice (96 LT4). I always thought a sports car should have a manual transmission. I really like the idea of a 6 speed and a little extra power.

Not only welcome to the CF and C4 (well, welcome again, since you had a '94), but welcome to LT4-dom! Great car; you're gonna love it.
Actually, there're many opinions on putting on the LT4 badge. I've seen a couple with it on; looks pretty good, too.
But I kinda like being without it---it's a little more stealth when you roll up next to someone who's just lookin'. Is it an LT1 or an LT4? The question is: do I feel lucky today, or not?
Not that most people outside of the Corvette world even know there IS an LT4!
Pictures, please, of your new car.

I'm thinking if you pulled up next to a ZR1, failed to notice the wider rear bumper, and didn't realize what it was, you could be in for a suprise.

I'd probably not notice the wide bumper/fenders, but hopefully I'd have seen the ZR-1 in the back. Maybe not. But I think all Z's had the ZR-1 on the rear bumper. Don't recall seeing an LT5 on it, tho. Maybe.
Yes, if I missed it, I'd be very "toast-y", and it would NOT be my lucky day!

But, some of the prototype 1989 ZR-1s had "LT-5" emblem on the rear.

If you can beat an LT1, you can most likely beat an LT4.

Aw, c'mon Larry, you don't really think that, do you? Really?
"Regular production ZR-1s (1990-1995) have "ZR-1" on the rear.

Now that's really interesting. I presume you also mean that some/all of these protos made it to the streets with the LT-5 badge on them. Did they stay on the street permanently?, Or were they like the C6-Z06s that were let out early this summer and then collected for analysis and supposedly crushed?

There were 84 of them made. From the pics, you can see some (about half?) have LT-5 badges. GM/Chevy claims all but one were destroyed. The sole survivor (also the only one that was painted yellow) is at the Corvette Museum. And it has a LT-5 badge on the rear bumper.

How'd ya like to be the guy pushing the button on the crusher?
Geez, wasting ZR-1's. I'll bet the guy doesn't sleep at nights!
