Hit the brakes slightly and floor the gas. This locks up the front tires and lets the rears break loose.

With my 3:08 gears all I have to do is turn off ASR and floor it. On most surfaces they just lite up. On really sticky surfaces or super-hot asphault I have to power-brake it a bit.

Hmmmm, I usually cut them up in small pieces, pack them in the bong and take a few hits. Some people like to use papers but I find the taste nasty. A small power hitter is good for travel but the hit is WAY too hot, so I would definitely go with a medium to large bong. What was the question again? :crazy: :crazy: :crazy:
Seriously, the above mentioned stuff works but you are really heating the tranny up and the back brakes. If you drag race a lot, a line lock is a wise investment. You pump the pedal, hit the switch and let off the pedal. It keeps the pressure applied to the fronts and you can then easily burnout. Its fun at parties too. :yesnod:

I'm not sure if its due to my balding skaterbacks, or the earth shattering torque my car lays down :rolleyes: :rolleyes: Seriously though all I have to do is stomp on the gas I can pretty much melt the rear tires even w/ my 2.59s.

Shoot I couldn't smoke my tires if my life depended on it, I hope its not the car. I'm thinking its the tires. Supposedly they are really good tires.

If your car won't spin the tires, something is wrong.
My stock L98 w/ 2.59s broke the tires free on the test drive...and even when my fuel pump died at Firebird I was able to spin the tires without going through the water box...it died directly there-after.

Like TA said. All I have to do with mt 92 LT1 is turn off the ASR and mash the gas pedal. Since my tires are fairly new and I don't make a million bucks a year, I don't let 'em burn too long - I light 'em up for a second or two and then back off on the gas to GO!. Never have yet just let 'em burn until they grab - makes too much noise and smoke. :D

Mr. Mojo could write a book on this subject. Only wish I could see one of his burnouts in person. Love that smell!

I can't even get mine to chirp on straight line accleration. I mash the gas and the car just accelerates, at about 2000 rpm it accelerates hard (like a turbo coming on, or a light NOS hit). This is driving me nuts!
