They sure are nice to have. The Craftsman branded ones can't be going for $30. I picked my metric set up at Sears for $89.99 on sale. I use them all the time.

No, they weren't Craftsman, they were"Gearwrench" brand.

I've got the GearWrench brand in standard and in metric, the Craftsman reversibles in metric and the Craftsman locking flexhead gearwrenches in metric. They all seriously rock!!! Highly recommended.

BTW... you really can't beat that GearWrench deal at Sears for $30. They are not Craftsman, but they are a Danaher product, and you may be able to warranty them at a Lowes or a NAPA store (where they sell single GearWrench-branded gearwrenches), should they ever go south. I'm betting that you probably will never need the warranty.

What I need is a warranty for lost tools. I seem to lose more than I break

They were worth their weight in gold when I did the Radiator removal/cleaning last fall.

I thought gearwrench/craftsman were exactly the same except for warranty.

You probably couldn't even just stop in at sears for a free replacement craftsman anyways, because they're only packaged in sets.

No... not old, just stupid

I like the gearwrench O-Ratchet, but the little 3/8 and 1/4 drive inserts don't stay in when you put any pressure on them. If you're using regular sockets, get a real ratchet.

My bro got a set of those o-ratchets a few years ago. They're still shiney as day one, never been used.

I bought 4 sets from NAPA, $35 a set with a $20 rebate, so I ended up with two sets of metric and two sets of SAE for $60. They were a 60 piece set each.

Bought the same set with my sears Christmas gift card +$5.00. Great set. These are not the "reversing" ones, but they are ok. They are made for the Danaher Co. out of York, Pa. Danaher also has the Craftsman ones made for sears. The Gearwrench set is made in China, I don`t know about the Craftsman ones. I only wonder how they will stand behind their "lifetime" warranty. In the really small find print it states " The Gearwrench is a precision tool, & is not intended to free frozen fasteners". The warranty also says that it has to be used for it`s "intended purpose". I suppose they think that you are going to bake bread with it??. All that being said--- I have three sets of these things, & that includes the Gearatchet set.

Sounds cool...I wanted to get a complete set.I seen them in Lowes and also in K mart and they are 50-60 dollars for a set.Better go check out sears soon for them as well and find the best prices. They look like they would be super handy in very tight places!
