Spare Tire Pressure?
OK, Dumb question.
Had to use the spare over the weekend and noticed that they say the spare tire should run at 60psi???
I had almost 45 in there and it felt like it was going to POP!
Is that correct? I ran it with 45, didnt look flat and got me to the tire shop. I would think that at 60 that thing is a ticking bomb!!
Anyone else agree?

I sell and service Corvettes and I can tell everyone that most spare tires are flat when I pull them down. I have found that after about three years they loose air and are flat.
This is a good weekend project pull down your spare and air it up and wash out your carrier. :smash:

I wasn't even sure where the spare was till i was taking the TRAILER HITCH off. A trailer hitch on a Vette?! They drilled and cut up the aluminum frame to put it on too, d@mmit. The hitch was 20lbs, plus bolts, nuts, and about 20 washers.

Definitely check the spare. I drove over a nail and tore up the right rear :o and of course the spare was completely flat. Thankfully I was at a gas station and filled it up to 60 psi. Yes I was nervous about blowing the thing up but it held just fine. The bigger pain was getting the carrier back in place properly.
