Completed Installation of Hornet Alarm/Remotestart w/ Proximity Alarm
My 95 coupe's 1 year old Thompson Astrotop replacement was stolen about a month ago one erly Monfday morning between midnight and 5:30 AM. I purchased the above setup from Drdetailshop.com the price was very good and the service was great. They were always there to answer any questions I had.
Well, yes I finally got it in, and it works like a charm.
It was quite a lot of work....tons of wiring connections.
Had my entire dashboard apart :smash:

If some chowderhead disables your battery for any reason, the backup battery will still provide power for the alarm.
Batteries can be disabled by drilling through them, so if the thief knows where it's located on your vette, he can use a long drill to go right through the body.
Other people will be a little less agressive and set your alarm off a couple times. After they set it off a few times to **** off the neighbors, then they'll break the window, pop the hood and cut the battery cable, then come back later and steal your crap.
