Default Is there a Ferrari replica kit for a C4 ?

Seems like years ago I remember seeing in KitCar magazine a kit that turned your C4 into a replica of a Testarosa ? Anything out there that someone knows about ?

I'll take one of those, and a set of implants for the SO too.

If you like this sort of thing, this one looks pretty well done. Since TR's are mid-engine I can't help but think the proportions will look wacky from most other angles.............

It still looks like a C4...lol. That curvy hood is unmistakable. That's the biggest catch in the C5 conversion aside of headlight location. (and the fact the C5 is longer).

I thought there used to be a Ferrari Daytona kit that looked pretty sharp. Heck, wasn't Sonny Crockett's black Daytona a Corvette kit car?

toledo pro or vanacor corvettes in Lousiana sells them.

The Ferrari Daytona kit is not available... period. it WAS for the C3, but Ferrari used legal method to shut down the company that was making the body kit. And one was never made available for the C4. It wouldn't work anyway...

Yes, the one on Miami Vice was a C4 with a Daytona coversion, it looked "real", probably cost a lot and custom.

I copied this from a prior post I made regarding body kits on the C4:

I have seen some tricked C3s and C5s that look insanely awesome. But the C4, for some reason, came from the factory as close to esthetic perfection as any body shape I have seen. Add in some very strong design language, and any modifications will look tacked on.

For example, no matter what you do with the C4 body, it will still have that windscreen to b-pillar form (coupes) and the rear 1/3 is not easily modifiable due to the structural nature of the pseudo-unibody. The end result is a C4 with bodywork tacked on.

The exception? The Callaway Speedster, but that was a near-total reskin job... and to a degree, it STILL looks like a modified C4.

For some reason, the C4 shape is fine as it is. The Shinoda/Mears body kit, that looks good, but not a totally integrated whole. The same goes with the Callaway body kit, but that was by and far the best. The GS90 by Greenwood was trick, but still, lacking something.

And that "lacking" was caused by the strong design language used to lay out the windscreen, and on coupes, the b-pillar. These are such powerful statements, they defy change... and they are so integrated into the natural design of the car, it's not even funny.

Finally, the C4 has a tremendous underbody tuck, the body looks like a fuselage of an airplane. Once a body kit has been added there, it totally changes the light and delicate look of that section, and makes it heavy, a look of heavy amplified by the short wheelbase.

What gets me is how different the 84-90 C4s look vs. the 91-96 C4s look. The change in bumper caps redefined the car. It's amazing.

That's my take on the C4 shape...

back in the late 80's, I had an issue of Vette. there was an article on the Brilliante It was a white converible(also seen red) with the testarossa body kit, burl wood dash, and a Gulstrand engine as an option. I don't know how many cars were ever made, but a Classic International in Fountain Valley, California produced them. It was my dream car and really thought it was really (I was in highschool) :o I always wanted to get a wrecked 86-89 conv. and put the body kit and tires and wheels on it. Back then, It was atleast when there were still new Testarossa's, I don't know about today.I think Vanacor corvette also sells that kit. That is the one in Onyx's pic.
