Anyways...question: I am curious if other FM's C4's squat like crazy under hard acceleration and at the 1st to 2nd gear shift. My 96 LT1 Auto squats bigtime (rear end hunkers down and front end lifts up)....is this normal? I hope that this does not sound like a stupid question, but I just wonder if I need shocks. I would guess this is normal but
P.S. I am loving this warm weather (except the rain). It reached the upper 60's hear in Kokomo, IN today.

Mmm Hmmm....sure it does.
Shocks wear. And their ability to efficently dampen the spring will diminish over use and time.
Just like the piston inside the engine wears against the bore. And the rings wear causing a loss of compression. And the valve seals wear from heat and friction causing oil to seap past and escape the engine. All of these things happen inside a shock absorber/dampener.
So many Vette owners spend BIG money on fancy tires and wheels. On exhaust systems, big throttle bodies, transmissions and on and on. Yet their brake fluid is the color of used motor oil and they'll skip the shocks.
Go figure. Doesn't mean squat.

All cars "squat" to some degree when accelerating hard, its just car physics.
I think my shocks were replaced by the previous owner. They're KYB brand and they suck. I'm sorry if anybody likes these, but they just seem really cheap to me.
