OK to use tire pressure sensors with non run flats?
My original GS-C EMT tires have 57K and are past time for changing. I've decided I'm going to save 4-500 dollars and get non run flats. I do have a spare and actually saw it for the first time after 5.5 years . It had 10 psi.
Anyway, can I still use my sensors with non EMT tires? I'm afraid that if I ever had a complete flat that it would damage the sensor. There does not look like there would be room if the tire was completely flat.
Thanks,
Joey

You shud have no problem using the LPTWS with non-run flats. I have the system & twice it warned me of a low tire before it went flat (nails).
If you have a blow out there is a possibility the sensor could be damaged. If you ever have your tires serviced find someone that knows what he's doing, more sensors are ruined by inexperience
than flats.
FYI, As I recall the low tire light will come on about 27 psi.

It must be around 27 psi or so. Every single year in the fall (when the first cold temps arrive) The FLAT / LOW TIRE will come on. I adjust all pressures and it is ok. Luckily I've never had a flat in this car. Pretty good for 57K. I expect Murphy's Law when I go non run flat, and will probably have flats all the time!!

Ditto, don't worry. If you have a blowout, like I did, the sensor will likely be damaged but it's worth it to have better tires.
