Instant MPG?

Instant MPG?
Ok, where did this come from? My dash shows "INST MPG" when I push the fuel info button. This has never happened before. After pushing the button once, the dash always showed Average MPG. I've owned this car over a year, and now it does this? What gives? :confused:

The FUEL INFO tab should cycle through the following screens: blank, (no info) instant MPG, avg MPG, and range (remaining miles until all fuel is exhausted. My guess is that unless your milage computer is malfunctioning, it's possible that you never cycled through those positions. If you never push the FUEL INFO button with the ignition on, it will always return to the last display that was viewed.

Yes, I know about the choices. What I'm saying is that instant mpg was never one of the choices. All of a sudden now it is.

Not sure why instant MPG was not available to you in the past. However, I'm glad your fuel/milage computer is now functioning correctly

The one bitch about instant mileage is that it only is 2 digit. I thought I could milk it over 100 coming down the grapvine pass, but it stops at 99! :D
