Hah! If only! My husband would love to get ahold of him. I lost about $5000 on that car and I can't believe he even accepted money for that thing. If I had known what I know now I'd never have touched it. I was blinded by the comp yellow and the 6 spd. Sad thing is we sold it to a friend who lost even more money.

yellow as an apt colour for a lemon, eh?

I don't think he posts here much anymore... it's been a while since I have seen his handle.

That whole story sucked... and what bothered me the most? was how people defended him, and ripped on you. Geez... that was wrong... you made an error in judgement, so they blamed you for making that error. But no one blasted him for selling a POS.

yea... right.

Good to see you back, I bet Scorp will be happy to see your posts as well. I still remember his "my but is bigger than vettebabe's" or something like that in his avatar.

Looks like you are meeting a lot of old buddies here.
Let us know how the latest deal is progressing.

Have you met Barnbabe? I believe she's into equines as well.

Ah, yes, I am wondering when we will see a snide comment from Scorp. Super sweet guy. In fact, there are a lot of awesome guys on here.

Yeah, the CJ thing sucked. I can't bear to rehash it but I learned my lesson. That is probably why I want the 87 back. I KNOW it's a good car...the current owner says it's amazing. Let's just hope it stays amazing and doesn't welcome itself home with some sort of breakdown. LOL

Oh, and you've forgotten that guy that talked to me once on a PM and then made some crazy post about how I was trying to break his their marriage???? That was a good one!! How come I am always the center of all these scandals???

Great story! I know exactly how you feel, and don't think you're the least bit crazy.

I'm pretty new on here, and don't even have a Vette yet. The one that got away from me was an '88 Toyota MR-2. College, wife and kids led me astray from sports cars... But I'm planning a comeback!

I can't tell you how close I've come to buying a little ratted rusted ricer just to put myself back in one of those Toyotas again. I can't even imagine if I found the actual car I used to have!

But I've got my heart set on American made muscle now, so nothing will deter me. And I've got a huge post planned for the day I bring it home.

Good luck getting your baby back, and I hope you can restore her in short order with little trouble.

Yeah, it's a little crazy...I know I need help. LOL The ZR-1 was definitely SWEET and awesome (the sound of that motor spinning up with that exotic whine...MMM MMM!!!) - and taking down my husband in his 98 at the time on the highway with it was too cool. I can't drive a stick off the line for anything, so what if I rigged the battle with a sweet top end car... LOL Hit 3rd gear and walk away...

But, I just never could get attached to the ZR1. It is amazing to me that others have the story about "the one that got away". Just like if you lose a woman you love, not just any woman will do. Same applies here! LOL {Edited to add: I was only using this as an analogy for men to understand, not that I had this experience :o}

Oh lord, I don't want to know how I managed to come up in a post! It's usually scandalous, as I said before...
