rear of body lurches sideways on acceleration
Rear of body lurches sideways on acceleration then goes back when I let off the gas. The rear tires don't slide, it feels like the back of the body moves sideways slightly, independent of the axle. What's my problem?

Had a 4 wheel alignment done lately? What kind of shape are the bushings in (rear)?

Suspension, or half shaft U-joints, I would bet it is one or more of the u-joints on one of the half shafts, I was there about 6 years ago in my first Corvette, go easy on them they can come apart and do much more damage, you need to get it repaired ASAP do not wait or drive it any more then needed. That's my opinion and what I know from it happening to me
