Default cowl hood pics

i bought a damaged cowl hood on ebay for $26

cut my old hood

and viola!!

great looking job.

what did you use to bond and finish the fiberglass scoop to the smc hood ?

any idea what the ''donor'' car was ?

Looks great, how much was the paint and sanding? 26$ for the hood unreal. Are you planing on turbo or stuffing somthing under there?

i used an epoxy with fiberglass cloth, i hope it lasts

i switched over to a carb set up, with n2o, needed the hood clearance

What was that cowl hood from originally? I guess you got enough clearance now for say.....a crate 572? That would be something.

it was from a c4 road race car from what i understand.
a 572 is the same physical dimension as any other big block, there are some guys on here already running big blocks.

Just curious, how much did your paintjob cost? How much did you save by doing the sanding work yourself?

I guess it's safe to say, you fabricating your own cowl was a lot cheaper than buying the total hood.

the paint job was $2200 , the body guy finnished the body, i'm a carpenter not a bodyman, i got it close, he made it nice
