Check engine light comes on when gas cap is removed to refuel
I've had this problem in my 89 coupe for a while, to reset and clear the check engine light I remove the negative battery cable. light stays off until next refueling is there a seal problem below cap , I've replaced the gas cap, problem still comes back, is there a pressure sensor switch some where?

If you do not tighten your gas cap sufficiently, (three clicks minimum) the Service Engine Soon light may come on.
