Fastest Comfortable Speed, with stock suspension
Since I havent gotten to drive my little beast because of its little problem, i was wondering if anyone wants to share their fastest speed at which the stock suspension (zo7, stock or z51) felt stable and controlable? and also if converting the suspension from the transverse leaf to coil-over helps in daily driving and at higher speed
Since these cars are "designed" to do over 160 stock and all, how many people would actually feel safe doing it with the stock suspension
Pretty much a thread for people to brag about their mischiefs

Hmmmm, I got to 140 mph, in a stock suspension '91 right before going into the woods.
The suspension felt good though. Just couldn't take that curve.
Since then I haven't gotten much over 100 mph.

Been 130 in mine, felt great until I hit some curves, shocks really need rebuilding. Wallows a bit too much, not really confidence inspring-Great at the drags though, squats and goes.

smooth
120 for about five minutes or so and 100 for about 20 min or half and hour. Felt as stable at 120 as at 50. I was impressed, was on a good highway though, also got a ticket!!!

145 in my 91. The front end felt real light, like it was getting ready to leave the ground. Not a very comfortable feeling. Have never been that fast since.

I've been 145 in my '94. It felt solid, but had some vibration from the tires. I am not real comfortable with sustained high mph, but I do like a 0-110 acceleration "test" every now and then.

I got it to 113mph on a one mile road near my home. Felt good though the road is not exactly flat. Not really many "good" places to go much faster that I know about.

I may do 90 on a frequent basis when passing and getting out of harms way on the Washington D.C. Beltway which may include lane changes and sudden braking from high speed. I only got nervous one time when I came up too fast on a semi and had to abuptly avoid his tailights. The car stuck to the road with no tail spin or oversteer. I don't typically drive at these speeds or conditions, but I like to have the power to get in and out of tight spots when I need it.

Got up to 110 trying to catch up with some friends on the interstate,I didn't realize I was going that fast car felt good very responsive but then the alarm kicked in slow down-slow down-slow down- that would be my wife oops forgot she was there wouldn't make driving that fast a habit

About 130 on a smooth closed course with no problems at all. There was a slightly banked curve at about 100-110 and it felt responsive and predictable. I was not really at the limit, though.
