I was cleaning up my 85 today and I noticed on both the driver and passenger side doors that there are sockets that look like they could accept some type of bulb. I'll try to get pics tomorrow during the day. I've looked in my owner's manual and all I could come up with is the courtesy light replacement in the door panel. The sockets I saw were in the actual door itself by the tire pressure info.

Sounds like the holes for the door ajar/security switches. (plunger style switches that contact the body when the door is closed. Are they still there?

Actually it's not those... it's on the rear side of the door. I'll take some pics tomorrow and hopefully get some help on this one.
