pics of high rise hoods
I believe it is a tru fit hood that I was looking at in the catalogs. Please correct me on the company name if I am wrong. More importantly though, I am undecided since the vette the hood is pictured on has a body kit too. I was hoping maybe someone could point me towards some pictures of C4s with only a high rise hood. A spoiler is ok. I was thinking of the 2-3/4" hood personally. I am just not sure how it would look. I like the factory body lines of the C4 so much I don't know if I want to mess with them. Thanks for any help.

Thanks Mojo. I believe that first pic is the same hood I was looking at. I need to double check. I have saved it, and as time goes by will look back on it and try to decide. It's tough. I am at the point were I like it but I am not sure if I want it.
Anyone have some more? I can always use more. Also, if there are other companies out there other than Tru Fit, please tell me about them or post a pic.
Thanks everyone.

ToledoPro and Vanacors are the only two manufacturers of the high rise C4 hoods. Either sell direct and will provide the best price. The GS above and my hood are 2 3/4". Mojo's pics include the higher 4" -- which would be overbearing IMO.
www.toledopro.com and www.vanacorvette.com are the sites.
Plan on $2K+ to get the hood, the delivery, the prep, and the paint right.
Here are some more shots to give you a better idea....

Mostly, the change in appearance takes a little getting used to. But, I think ToledoPro's look very nice. There's a nice taper on the sides, a nice overhang in the back, and the vents look good as well. Functionally speaking, you could put a bigger motor and/or higher intake under these hoods.
Then there's turbos, superchargers, and nitro.... And, rockets as well!

Go to the photos section and submit 3/day or pick a hosting service (like I did). I used photobucket. It's a free service where you can upload pics to, then post links in this forum.
If you want to SEE a link, click quote on my msg (with pics) and you'll see the correct reference.....
