My 84 silver bullet was a gift for my 40th birthday.
Was the best way to get back at my teens (who had just got thier license) for all the years of agrivation they cause. They get to drive my old crap. No more soccer mom for me!

Got my first 1988 35th Anniversary when I was 28, (car #0015, license plate read "15 OF 2K") which is why my current 35th (car # 1695) license plate reads "28 AGAIN"

C4-1! 68 T-top L-79 327 350 4spd 4.11 121 mph @red line. I am ashamed of how I whaled on poor little car. However, she seemed to be one of those bad girls that enjoys a good spankin'. Much into the red resulted in bent pushrods. I put in hydro lifters but, as I recall, still bent pushrods. When the clutch burned out a heavy duty truck plate went in - 13.00 from NAPA That was 27 years ago. Oy..... I just got a 91 coupe w/6spd and 3.45gears. I enjoy comparing the two. The '91 is so much more civilized. The '68 was certainly not lacking sportyness and was a thrill to drive. Most significant difference is the zf w/overdrives. I actually got 27 mpg on one tank of gas. better than double the '68's mileage. Oh yes, I was twenty six when i got the '68.

Safety Car
I misread the poll, thought it said 'when you got in your first C4?
Well it's the same answer anyway hehe.
You lucky lucky teenagers, you don't know how lucky you are/ were
This is the model of car I learned to drive in and got to drive around...
UK version with twin headlamps and vinyl roof.. woooo
It had a weird upside-down gearbox pattern.
Where I'm from it was a big deal just to be on the road at 17..
First car I actually owned was a VW bug with a massive 40hp!
