you've got magnaflow mufflers as well?

i do tend to agree regarding the profile of the SS version.....3/4 of the muffler hangs a little too low and so they sort of stick out from the side. all other angles look great, but i do wish they were designed to angle a little better with the undercarriage.

at any rate, i'll take your system or mine over flowmaster, any day. can't stand that sound of flowmaster kids like 'em for some reason, oh and redneck truckers too

I just looked at your profile, now I see the difference. You are heavily modded and I'm heavily.......uh stock!

Most of the rednecks I know seem to prefer big shiny mufflers hanging off the back of their cars....

I have flowmasters on my car and except for a little resonance they sound nice.

You would have to change/modify the rear flange on your cat.

I have Flowmasters (off-the-shelf single in/out), with a hi-flow cat.

With stock exhaust manifolds, this is what my Vette sounds like on the dyno:

Sounds good, how is it at highway speed inside the car?

in my case, its right on par with the blose, turned 1/2 of the way up. this is on the highway. around town, up to 3rd gear you have to turn the blose about 3/4 of the way up to drown out the sound to hear the music clear enough.

Default Performance improvement

I did not think I would fell much of a differance but I was amazed how the pickup and and + 60mph improved noticeably. Probably because the CAT and mufflers were original.

I've had both flowmasters and magnaflows on my '91. Today I'm running magnaflows basically because of the looks and they will last.

Frankly, I think the sounds is about the same. but I did add a high flow cat with the magnaflows.

It really comes come to preference. Flowmasters have probably been out in the marketplace longer, but magnaflows are widely accepted and preferred too.

As you like it!

I put the UltraFlow all Stainless Steel Cat Back on my 87...with the rear crossover Y pipe which eliminates about 90% of the resonance. The resonance that I do notice is very very negligeble. I went with this system mainly because...living next to the Ocean with all the salt it is all Polished Stainless Steel, looks and sounds great and the price was reasonable. Although I love the looks of the Corsa system...just did not want the spend the bucks....just too many other toys out there I want to get !!!
