Well I am happy to report that after 20 some years of dreaming i finally bought my dream car, Bought a white 96 lt4/6speed coupe, with 88,000 miles on it. I have had it for about 2 weeks now already got KN filter and the skip shift the 1 to 4 thing is absolutely annoying. I was looking for opinions for my next mods definitly going to do exhaust, rims, and really looking at a s/c any advice or suggestions are welcome

I would drive it for at least a month before spending money on mods, there might be little things in the maintenance department to take care of
Congratulations on the buy, do you catch your self starring at it for long periods of time when you arent driving it for whatever reason? Thats what i still do after 4 months

First of all, welcome to the madness. When it is running right, you'll feel like Mario Andretti. When problems occur, you'll be pulling your hair out. As far as mods, wait a few months so you don't make any stupid mistakes like buying an air-foil. Keep in touch and you'll learn a lot of good stuff here. Learn to drive it first - it is a little tricky.

Welcome to the best c4 resource on the net, 96LT4Matt!! We look forward to seeing what you do with it. One of those turbo kits would be kewl! There are some guys out there that do fantastic head/cam/intake packages, too, if you're into the NA thing.

Welcome! I agree on the great choice of models.
Before you start adding things it might be a good idea to replace the belt, hoses and flush and refill all the fluids while changing the filters. Then a good tune up with fresh plugs and wires. Use synthetic fluids where applicable too.
Enjoy the torque!

The best advice I can give is to buy a Factory Service Manual. You can get them new at helms.com or find them used on EBAY? If you plan on working on it yourself it will be the best money you spend. Your car has several computers that can tell you exactly what is wrong, only you will need the manual to decipher what it is saying to you .

You are familiar with the LT1, but you have an LT4.......Significant differences!!!!!!! You have one of only about 6000 LT4's ever made!!!
Keep us posted on your quest for a TT.......to my knowledge yours would be the first TT LT4..
