And since none of us EVER drive our cars in the rain you wouldn't have to worry about getting wet.

In Corvette Magazine there was an article of the development of the C4and in it they state (with photos) that they put C3 bodies on C4 chassis to test. They did this so no media would know what they were doing.

And the C4 does indeed have a full chassis-just mostly covered with the body.

Looks like a water pumper sand rail.

sorta... it's a parameter frame, yes, but you WON'T just unbolt it and pull it off.

When it's all said and done, the C4's chassis is more like a pseudo-unibody thing... or a semi-monocoque sorta thing...

[QUOTE=bogus;1558394184]sorta... it's a parameter frame, yes, but you WON'T just unbolt it and pull it off.

I understand that the body is bonded over the frame. And I don't think that anyone would attempt to to a frame off resto on these cars.

If and when that long lost rich relative ever kicks off and his money finds its way to me then here is my fantasy:
82 Collector Edition body converted with 1975 parts to make it into a vert. SRIII chassis with Z06 motor and suspension. Body and interior would look just like it was factory made. Custom made turbine wheels in 17"/18" to look like the 82 CE turbines only wider.
I think I could snag a cover on Corvette Enthusiast with that one if it was well done.
