Default C4 LT1 Rear Mounted Turbo Update (pics)

All,

Here are a few pictures of the STS/Raptor LLC rear mounted Turbo Project car. These pictures were taken this past weekend (03/11/07) and show the current progress.

The project car is a 95 stock LT1 automatic with around 95K miles. Engine upgrades are limited to the fuel system, 60lb injectors and an aftermarket in-tank fuel pump.

1. The end product has a full functioning duel exhaust.
2. The cone intake filter will be tucked up in the rear fender with a filter sock for water protection.
3. The entire system is done in SS and it will be polished when completed.

Here are some pics from my Camera Phone. Better ones to follow...

Cheers,
Ron

I know Raptor LLC has plans to do so but it might be sales dependant...

We've driven other STS cars and Lag has never been an issue. You should see some of their cars on the Speed Channel... Impresive...

On Horsepower they did twin rear turbos on a C5 and said there is a 1psi drop running them that for back. But,they run 200 degree's cooler and get about 50hp gain from the temp difference.

We will have gobs of info in about two weeks.

The LT1 car and an LT5 car will be at Bowling Green for the ZR1/C4 gathering in May. The ZR1 is a Ball Bearing Twin Turbo setup on 5 psi... We would like to see 500rwhp/tq on the ZR1 and 450 on the LT1...*(LT1 will have a little more boost.)

Cheers,
RH

Yes,

Raptor LLC will have a complete kit available threw STS. More details to follow but the kit will be very economical especially for the HP/TQ you will get...

Who cares about EO, the smog guy won't even know it's there.

What sort of exhaust noise is that going to put out? I'm guessing the tone won't fool anyone, but I love the sleeper effect underhood.

You have to take EO into considreation... Should not be a factor as you've indicated...

STS says that all the other systems they produce sound great without any mufflers but if you want quite then it's no problem to add a muffler or two...

You can get as creative as you would like, that's the beauty of this system...
