Default Console redo update. pics

It took two days to remove all the rubber coating with a little help from a can of Carb Cleaner. Next sanded it with 100,150,220,320,and wet sanded with 400. Then used two coats of KRYLON primer #1318. Finished with KRYLON semi-flat #1613. It looks great.

Thanks to rickreeves1 and others for all the info and tips. I'm working on the radio/heater bezel now.

Thanks

That looks great. I'll do that when my rubber starts to peel off. That didn't sound good

Amazing work, man... Wow - I *must* try this on mine, as the rubber is starting to look really tired. It's the only part of my interior that dates the car, IMO, in terms of wear.

Looks great!
Did you have to scrube it or just let it soak(sp?) in the carb cleaner?
