Does brake fluid go in the clutch fluid reservior

Does brake fluid go in the clutch fluid reservior
I was checking my fluids and saw dot3 on the clutch fluid cap. is this right. Just hoping someone didnt put the wrong cap on.

You can, but you will get a squeeky MC. The GM fluid has "friction modifiers" in it to prevent the squeek.

DOT3 brake fluid. Just put a brand new Master cylinder in mine, and they recommended any DOT3 fluid.
Anything from GM with their special modifiers are ordinary STP Dot3 brake fluid re-branded.

Not true, I used the DOT3 and my MC squeaked like a ****. Asked TomTom on this site about it and he told me about the GM fluid, used it and it went away

OK.
I used synthetic DOT3. No squeaks so far.

perhaps the synthetic is the difference. I don't believe the DOT 3 I used was.
Perhaps the tranny is the difference also, I have the ZF6, so maybe the MC is the factor.

Anybody use Dot 5 in the clutch?
Wouldn't it last longer?
Or is the higher compressibility not worth it?

Havent even got my new one bled yet and I noticed the pedal squeeks-Prestone DOT 3.
