Dead Tach
Issue was loose connection with tach filter. I wiggled the filter body and found the wire coming from the filter to the dist. was not connected proper in the filter? I plan on relocating/replacing the filter at a later point in time.
I've needed lcd's for a while and I'm putting them in one by one. well Today I put the second lcd in (tach), It's not registering the proper rpm. It started out with a 0 reading then I rev'd it and it jumped to 2000 and fell back to 0. I messed around with the distributor wire and now it's "idling" at 2, 3, 4, 5 rpms. it rolls from 2 up to 6 (at the most) then back down. when I rev it there's no change.
The gauges were sun faded, just before I lost visibility on the tach it was registering fine up until a few days before I swapped over to an external tach.
Any ideas????
Thanks in advance
