Would these work in the dash cluster for the '84?

Yes, but the cluster would need to be removed to fit wedge sockets, unless it is an '89. They also will not be as bright as halogen/xenon. I tried an alternative but ultimately ordered a xenon set from Bryan Thompson. Awaiting arrival.

The description of the LEDs doesn't match the picture. The picture shows 5 LED chips, but the description says 3 LED chips. I don't think they'll be bright enough, but let us know.
I just read a thread where they said the xenon bulbs are a little dimmer than the halogens. Not a lot, but enough to notice. Let us know how they work.

I used the 194's in my '86. $10.65 for 4 of them. they look the same as the 882 and according to the info on the pack draw the same watts. looks and works great in my dash
I'll keep you posted if I have any problems burning up my dash

I bought the bulb kit from Bryan Thompson (aka "batee"). He was absolutely great and shipped very fast, and while one bulb blew immediately due to damage in shipping, he had sent a second package to my old address (my fault) and all was well once I retrieved them and replaced it. The bulbs are definitely brighter than my 882s and I rest easy knowing that they will last a long time. Also- a bonus- my cruise control, which had not been working since I bought the car, has come back to life. Must have been a dirty connection on the block.
