Just to make you guys aware, I purchased a set of door panels, (1977 Corvette) from Virginia Vettes off of their web page. The cost was for basic $145 pair. That was the price that was advertised. This is the second set that I have purchased. The first set I purchased about a year ago for the $145 price. They tell me impossible but I have a receipt to prove it. The second set I purchased about a week ago and they charged my credit card $307.00 for the second pair. When I called them to ask about it. I was told the Internet price is wrong and they haven't had a chance to change it. Just bad business in my opinion.

Isn't that illegal? Did youcontact the Better Business Bureau and your credit card company. Seems you should have no problem getting a refund on your credit card.

I dont know about that. I think you have a valid point in getting them to refund your money to the advertised price of $145 per pair. They need to change their ad before continuing on with this. By thier logic, they can charge you any amount they want and simply claim they have not had a chance to update their site. Then how much are the consumers supposed to know what the price is? What else hasnt the company changed or updated.

Well, I don't know if they owe you them at the "wrong" price, but at the least they should allow you to return them and refund your money. Are they being difficult about that?

The worst thing a company can do is get a reputation of cheating their customers, sounds like they deserve one.

Not just bad business in your opinion, just plain wrong all the way around. They should either refund the difference or pick-up the product(on their dime) and refund the complete purchase. If not just inform the credit card company with a copy of the ad and they will credit you if the company will not do anything. They are violating the credit card rules.

If you don't update your prices in a timely fashion then you either take the hit on the merchandise or you inform the customer PRIOR to shipping and billing that the price will be different. They needed your approval to charge $307.00 or anything above the original agreed upon price(which is in print). Some business practices just amaze me.
