I was reading up on sluggishness when throttling, and was doing some investigating, and decided perhaps it was my fuel injectors, so added some fuel injection cleaner, ran a tank, and it worked!Much better response time, and faster pickup on aceceleration!
Just FYI for those having this problem!

What year and engine and what type of cleaner did you use? My 93 has been sluggish (to me at least) lately but that could also be in my head since I got to drive an 08 Z06 a few weeks back. I want to use injector cleaner but I thought I remembered hearing not to do that with the LT1 engine.

1996 LT1 Used STP fuel injection cleaner....bought it at walmart. I have had this problem with other cars with fuel injection, but wasnt sure if I could do it on this one, but asked the bf (who owns a vette) and he said I could, so decided to give it a shot. I am so glad I did, the response is so much better at acceleration after only one tank of gas, I am just amazed! Actually, I thought it was going to be a much more major issue, as replacing fuel injectors, but looks like I am good to go for awhile!

Guess that will be my next thing to do. I'm going to replace the fuel filter again as I'm sure it is clogged up somewhat since I nearly ran out of gas a month ago. Actually I did run out of gas. Had to run a red light and coasted into a gas station and stopped right at the pump. Pure luck!!!
Now the question is: replace the filter then run the cleaner or run the cleaner and then replace the filter? My thoughts go to filter first then cleaner.

btw I love your avatar!
If it were me, I would think you would replace the filter, then use the cleaner? Why would you clean a part you are removing anyway. Only reason I can think of is if you dont want whatever clogged it in the first place to clog up the new one.
Personally, after one incident after I first bought the car, I never let the gas get under half a tank, as I was watching the digital gas, and believed it when it said I had a little under half a tank, then around 40 miles down the road, the gas lite came on. I was WTF...so now I watch my mileage, not the gauge!

Thanks Laura & Bob. I guess I'll do the filter first then the cleaner. Probably better to do the filter when the tank is lower anyways. Now I just need to wait for the temperature to drop a bit before working on it as it's way too damn hot this weekend!!
